The MED TECH Pediatric Vacuum Spine Board (PVSB) – MT80005 is a specialized full-body immobilization device designed for pediatric emergency care. Its smaller configuration allows EMS and rescue professionals to achieve closer, more controlled support around pediatric patients than would typically be possible with a full-size adult vacuum spine board.

The PVSB remains flexible during patient positioning so it can be molded around the child's body. Once air is removed, the internal bead system firms and maintains the molded shape, creating a stable platform for patient handling and transport.

MED TECH uses an 18-chamber internal system designed to help keep the immobilization beads distributed throughout the board, including during vertical applications, helping provide consistent support across the device.

How Vacuum Immobilization Works

Before evacuation, the Pediatric Vacuum Spine Board remains flexible so responders can position and shape it around the patient. The internal beads move within the individual chambers to conform to the patient's body.

As air is removed, the board becomes firm and holds its molded shape. MED TECH's multi-chamber design helps reduce excessive bead migration and maintain consistent support throughout the board during patient movement and transport.
