Product Overview

The MED TECH Bariatric Vacuum Spine Board (RVSB) “Royal” – MT80003 is designed to provide full-body vacuum immobilization for bariatric patients in emergency medical, rescue and patient-transport environments.

The flexible board can be positioned and molded around the patient before evacuation. As air is removed, the internal bead-filled chambers become firm and maintain the molded shape, creating a stable and supportive immobilization platform for patient movement and transport.

MED TECH's patented multi-chamber system uses multiple differently sized chambers to help keep the internal beads distributed throughout the board, including during applications where the patient may not remain completely horizontal.

Bariatric Configuration

The MT80003 is MED TECH's bariatric-size Vacuum Spine Board, also referred to as the RVSB “Royal”. It is intended for departments requiring a larger full-body immobilization option for bariatric patient care.

The Bariatric is 7 ½ feet long by 42 inches wide

Vacuum Immobilization Technology

MED TECH Vacuum Spine Boards use a patented multi-chamber system containing specially designed beads. The chamber layout helps prevent the beads from collecting in only one area of the device and helps the board maintain effective molding even during vertical or angled patient positioning.

A standard ½-inch (12.5 mm) US/European two-piece valve is designed for straightforward operation, including while wearing heavy gloves. MED TECH also supplies a valve adapter for connection to compatible portable suction units.
