Artificial Blood

Artificial blood, also known as synthetic blood or blood substitute, is a substance used to mimic and fulfill some functions of biological blood. It is typically used in situations where real blood is not available, such as in emergencies or when a suitable blood type match cannot be found. Artificial blood may be oxygen-carrying (such as perfluorocarbons) or provide volume expansion (such as saline solutions). While it can be a valuable tool in certain medical scenarios, research is ongoing to develop more effective and safe artificial blood products.
