The SSCOR S-SCORT III is compact, powerful and comes equipped with a full size 1200ml disposable canister. The soft vinyl wipe down case provides easy access to all components, including the rugged and reliable sealed lead acid battery, thus making it field serviceable and economical to maintain.
The S-SCORT lll exclusive 2 position regulator enables instant vacuum adjustment between full power and a level suitable for tracheal suctioning. All critical components are encased in foam, making the S-SCORT lll both rugged and reliable. The unit is maintained by an AC/DC charger or a DC power cord.
Weighing only 7 lbs, the powerful S-SCORT lll is the standard in many EMS agencies making it the most widely used EMS aspirator in the United States!
Proudly designed and assembled in the USA.
Durable
The S-SCORT III was first introduced in July of 1991 and has proven itself to be a durable, reliable, and economical EMS suction device. While the S-SCORT III has evolved and improved over the years it has maintained all of the characteristics that make it the standard in many EMS agencies. Watch our "Stair Video" as the S-SCORT III and other SSCOR suction units are repeatedly kicked down the stairs and continue to perform to specs.
Reliable
The S-SCORT III is engineered for today's EMS and Fire services. An internal foam core provides exceptional protection to the motor and other internal components so suction is available when you need it. Keeping the unit on charge insures that it is always ready to perform. The outer red cover is a strong vinyl covered nylon that is durable, tough and easily wiped down after service. Used on or off the ambulance, theS-SCORT III is always ready.
Economical
The S-SCORT III is shipped “ready to use”. The unit is powered by an internal sealed lead acid battery which is maintained by an AC/DC charger or a DC power cord. Many components of the S-SCORT III are quickly available and easily field replaceable. SSCOR builds suction units that exceed expectations.
For best results, the S-SCORT III must be reconnected to the charging source after each use and remain on charge until needed. Disconnect only for portable use.
Check the condition of the battery frequently, see the battery test on page 6 of the owners manual.
The S-SCORT III Charger with LED Battery Indicator (#80533) works exclusively with the S-SCORT III (model 74000) and plugs into a standard outlet.
The charger charges the battery only. The unit will not run off of the charger.
The LED battery indicator on the charger will show red when charging the battery and will change to green once the battery is charged. SSCOR recommends that the S-SCORT III remain on charge when not in use, even if the LED battery indicator of the charger is green. The battery will not overcharge.
One other note: The charger's default light color is green. It changes to red when plugged into the device and back to green once the battery is charged.
The suction device will run on vehicle power when the unit is connected directly to the vehicle battery via the DC power cord (# 80665).
AC charging should bring the battery to a dependable working charge in 4 to 6 hours. The charging indicator light on the front panel of the unit indicates the S-SCORT III is receiving electrical input from the AC charger or vehicle. It does not reflect the condition of the battery. Check the charging Indicator light to be sure you have a good electrical connection.
SSCOR Batteries
Each component in the S-SCORT III is critical for delivering effective vacuum when you need it. You can count on the S-SCORT III to give you the airway clearing suction that you need.
Each part in the S-SCORT III aspirator has been carefully chosen and tested for reliability.
Each S-SCORT III comes with a SSCOR labeled battery that has been chosen for this purpose.
When you need to replace the battery, which we recommend that you do every three years, we recommend that you replace it with a SSCOR labeled battery.
- SSCOR has evaluated most available batteries and buys the one that we feel is most consistent and reliable, providing a long running time.
- SSCOR buys large quantities of batteries each month, so the battery we ship to you is fresh.
- The SSCOR labeled battery will not be the least expensive. Least expensive is not a requirement for life saving. Proper function is.
Reliable, dependable, that is our SSCOR standard.
Powerful
The S-SCORT III delivers >30 LPM clinical airflow and vacuum is regulated by a two position regulator, allowing the operator to choose between full power (>525mmHg) and reduced power (120mmHg +/- 15%) for endotracheal and pediatric suction procedures. All of the power and versatility necessary to quickly and effectively clear an airway and weighs only 7 pounds.
