Nasco Healthcare’s Gaumard PEDI Blue Neonatal Simulator – Medium (SB34989 M) is a full-term newborn manikin (representing infants in the first 28 days of life) designed for advanced neonatal airway and resuscitation training. Featuring full articulating anatomy—including a realistic airway (tongue, vocal cords, trachea, esophagus), rib cage, lungs, heart, stomach, and liver—it supports bag-valve-mask ventilation, oral and nasal intubation, suctioning, and provides bilateral lung inflation with authentic chest movement.
The adjustable cricoid prominence enables proper performance of the Sellick maneuver. Training scenarios can simulate different skin conditions—healthy, peripheral cyanosis, or central cyanosis—thanks to SmartSkin™ technology, which changes tone based on initial settings and the effectiveness of ventilation or chest compressions.
The OMNI® Code Blue® monitor/controller monitors resuscitation quality in real time. With strong or effective CPR and breathing support, the simulator's skin tone shifts toward healthy pink; inadequate performance will trigger a deepening blue hue .
