The Hartwell Medical FASPLINT FULLBODY® Vacuum Splint is a comprehensive immobilization solution designed to stabilize trauma patients quickly and effectively during emergency response and transport. Manufactured by Hartwell Medical, this full-body vacuum splint conforms to the patient’s shape to provide customized, rigid support once air is removed.
Before activation, the splint remains flexible, allowing rescuers to position the patient comfortably while maintaining spinal alignment. After vacuum suction is applied, the splint hardens to form a secure immobilization platform that minimizes movement, reduces pain, and helps prevent further injury.

The FASPLINT FULLBODY provides continuous full body support and enables the patient’s legs to be supported in the flexed position for additional comfort during transport. The mattress is designed to alleviate pressure point pain and vastly increases patient comfort during transport on various patient handling devices like the CombiCarrierII® or a backboard.
