The BD Vacutainer® CPT™ Mononuclear Cell Preparation Tube with Sodium Citrate is a specialized blood collection and processing tube designed to simplify the isolation of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs). Manufactured by Becton, Dickinson and Company, this tube integrates an anticoagulant with a density gradient medium and polyester gel barrier to enable rapid, consistent cell separation during centrifugation.
This closed-system design allows blood collection and cell separation within a single tube, minimizing handling steps and reducing the risk of contamination. With a 13 x 100 mm size and a 4.0 mL draw volume, it is well-suited for immunology testing, flow cytometry, molecular diagnostics, and research applications.
